BACKGROUND

The need for government and the Nigerian society to constantly tap from the rich mix of high level manpower churned out by NIPSS informed the formation of Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI).

    LIST OF EVENTS

  • 2015
    1. The wedding ceremony of Mrs Comfort Eyitayo's Son, took place in Lagos. Mrs Eyitayo is the Treasurer of AANI, Lagos Chapter.
    2. AANI Secretary General, Comrade Issa Aremu, mni Launched a set of four books:.
      - Reflections on Africa and Global Affairs.
      - Reflections on Industry and Economy.
      - Reflections on Labour and Trade Unions.
      - Reflections on Friends, Comrades, Heroes.

      The Books presentation/launching took place at three separate locations and on three separate dates, namely :Ilorin, Kwara state, Kaduna and Abuja on January 8, 2015; January 27, 2015 and February 7, 2015 respectively.

    3. Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, mni launched two books titled " Issues in the Mobilization of Public Support for Military Operations in Nigeria" and " The Voice and Battles of the Nigerian Army" on the 30th of June, 2015.
    4. Elder Williams Odudu, mni had his book presentation in Lagos.

     

  • 2013
    1. The wedding ceremony of Dr. Beatrice Okonkwo’s’ Son, Mr. Ify took place on 20th July 2013 at St Leo’s Cathedral Church, Ikeja Lagos.
    2. The wedding ceremony Arc Abdulkadir Mohammad’s’ Hajiya Hauwa took place on the 29th June 2013 at Plot 55, Muhammad Mustapha Road, Minna Niger State.
    3. AANI Meet- the – Press/Dinner took place on the 27th May, 2013 at the Army Headquarters Command Officers Mess. Many mni’s, Media Executives, Editors, Bureau and Press men from different media organisation attended.
    4. Engr Jani Ibrahim, mni SEC 16 was inducted as member in the Nigerian Academy of Engineers on 21st June, 2013 at the main Auditorium, University of Lagos.
    5. The following appointments were made: a). Senator Abubakar Girei, mni – Chairman, National Mathematical Center. b), Alhaji Adamu Fika, mni - Chairman, National Assembly Commission. c). Mr. Mike M. Okiro, mni – Chairman, Police Service Commission.
    6. The Traditional wedding ceremony of Lois Idakwo daughter of Chief SA Idakwo, mni SEC 18A took place on the 5th October 2013 at Makurdi.
    7. The wedding ceremony of Barr. P.C Onumajulu, the son of Mrs Nkechi S. Onumajulu, mni SEC 27 took place on the 25th September 2013 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Owerri.
    8. The wedding ceremony of John Paul son of Barr. Erasmus Njoku, mni SEC 27 took place on 5th October 2013 at Church of Assumption.
    9. Dr. Kate Nwufo, mni, the Chairperson, Abuja chapter was elevated to the rank of Professor of Research. The elevation is with effect from July, 2011.


  • 2012
  1. The wedding ceremony of Danladi Kifasis’s took place daughter, Miss Grace Danladi Kifasi took place on 28th July 2012 at the National Worship Center, Abuja.
  2. AANI rejoices with Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar SEC 7/1985 (member board of patrons) on his 70th birthday on the 14th June 2012.
